Fanfare for Sustainability

Wonderful news from the Canada Council for the Arts who has granted the commissioning of a work by composer Graham Flett which was just performed by Vancouver's Ethos Collective and myself at the beautiful Van Dusen Gardens in Vancouver, Canada September 14th, 2014. This nearly net zero carbon efficient venue was reflected in a musical adventure and highlighted the inspiring progress being made by the Vancouver Green City inititative on sustainable urban living in a co-presentation by Redshift Music Society.

Love is like the wind?

I'm very pleased to announce that our duo "Il Passaggio Segreto" with lutenist Guzman Ramos was one of five ensembles selected for the International Young Artist Presentation as part of the Laus Polyphoniae festival in Antwerp, Belgium. We had an amazing time playing our program 'Amor e qual vento', with incredible repertoire from the early 17th century Italy. More to come!

An intense week with Carlos Garcia Estevez and his company Manifesto Poetico. Some magical theatrical moments were made working on this exciting research with brilliant actors. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Pierrot Lunaire in the Rocky Mountains

It was an incredible experience with Henk Guittart, Marianne Pousseur and Gruppo Montebello at the Banff Centre. After two weeks of intensive rehearsing, research and coaching on Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire with amazing musicians, we performed the piece for a keen audience at the Rolston Hall. There couldn't have been a better situation to deeply appreciate this piece which I hope to continue performing and growing with long into the future.
